EU Prize for Women Innovators

The Horizon 2020-funded EU Prize for Woman Innovators 2017 celebrated the 12 finalists in Brussels earlier this week. Tiime's Hedda Pahlson-Moller headed the jury to evaluate the remarkable women driving innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe.

The shortlist contains twelve outstanding women entrepreneurs who have brought their breakthrough ideas to the market. From Stromatolite, a design innovation lab that brings together people from different areas to work on common project, to BLITAB, a tablet for blind people, and Solvatten, a box that cleans water from pathogenic material with nothing but the sun, these women run amazing projects that captivate the imagination. You can find out more about all of them here.

For the first time, this year's contest includes three finalists in a new category, the Rising Innovator, to recognise excellence in female entrepreneurs aged 30 years or under. All of the finalists have founded or co-founded a successful company based on their innovative ideas.

The finalists were presented by Hedda Pahlson-Moller at the Unconvention 2017 in Brussels on Tuesday, January 24th as an inspiration to young innovators everywhere.
